David B. Shemano is a partner with Peitzman Weg LLP in Los Angeles, where he represents chapter 11 debtors, creditors’ committees, trustees, secured creditors and general unsecured creditors in all aspects of corporate bankruptcy. Prior to joining Peitzman Weg LLP, Mr. Shemano worked on bankruptcy and restructuring matters with the law firms of Winston and Strawn LLP, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and Danning Gill Diamond & Kollitz LLP. He is currently president of the Financial Lawyers Conference and a member of the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum. Mr. Shemano frequently lectures before the Practicing Law Institute and ABI conferences, and has also been named a Los Angeles Superlawyer. He received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara and his J.D. cum laude from the Hastings College of the Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif.
